Being a flight simulation enthusiast, I’ve gone through a couple of joysticks and HOTAS setups. I remember the day where I was trying to shoot down my enemies in IL-2 with just a joystick with a rudder axis and throttle knob on it. It worked okay, but honestly I had to spray my enemies with bullets more than necessary.
One upgrade to the Saitek X-52 HOTAS setup later, my accuracy improved, but only for a few months until one day the X-52’s smoothness went down the drain. Even rigging the fully exposed spring with tie wraps didn’t solve anything.Eventually one day I left my country to work overseas, leaving my trusty joystick behind knowing I would not have time for that in the next coming months. And it was true, I didn’t. But after working 18 hour days for a couple of months without being able to enjoy my weekends, I was looking for some fun to give myself a break now and then. Luckily my business partner was into dogfights and gadgets himself. After researching the internet and forums for hours, we came to the conclusion that we had to get our Hands On the Throttle And Stick (and rudder pedals) and bought ourselves a complete set of a CH-Products Fighterstick, Throttle and Rudder pedals.
I got more serious with flight simulations and after moving back overseas I spent a lot of time online, flying my “thrusty” Level-D 767-300 ER on VATSIM. And boy, did I have a blast. The CH-Products are so incredibly smooth and sturdy. After six years they still work as smooth as they always have been and have never let me down.
If you are looking for a great joystick or HOTAS set, consider the CH-Products. You can simply start off buying the joystick and later on decide to expend your set with the throttle and rudder pedals. Your precision and joy will definitely benefit!
They are hands down the best HOTAS (Hands On Throttle And Stick) I’ve ever owned.
I still give this product 5 stars because it works flawlessly, has never lost calibration, its durable, and its the most technically precise joystick I’ve ever used.
